If you don't use iTunes that often or at all, it can be annoying when it opens automatically every time you plug in your iPhone to your computer. Here’s how to prevent that from happening.

Granted, iTunes is essential for updating your iPhone or iPad, but overall it’s a sluggish piece of software that many users avoid using at all costs, and it’s known for causing all sorts of problems.

The good news is, you can easily use an iPhone and never have to deal with iTunes, but by default, Apple wants you to use iTunes by having the program automatically launch whenever you plug in your iPhone, but here’s how to disable that feature so that you don’t have to be bothered with the music program ever again without manually opening it in the first place.

How to Stop Gmail from Adding Events to Google Calendar

About a month ago, Google added a capability to Gmail and Google Calendar that allows Gmail to automatically add events it see in your email to your Google Calendar.

Here’s how to disable that feature.

The feature scans your Gmail email and automatically creates new events based on emails you receive that include dates and times, etc. This means that when you receive confirmations from buying game tickets, make a hotel reservation, or booking a flight, Gmail and Google Calendar will automatically add that event to your calendar.

On top of that, these automatically-added events will update with new information in real-time, including important information like flight numbers and check-in times, as well as update you if your flight is delayed.

Of course, we can see this feature being helpful for some users, but for most it’s seen as a nuisance.

Here’s how to stop Gmail from automatically adding events to your Google Calendar.
