Yesterday, Jumia had a shutdown for several hours and now they have apologized for that. In order to compensate those who couldn't complete their shopping, Jumia has extended the Black Friday sale to 11:59PM on sunday. I actually believe it was because of the too much visitors that led to the outage, under 10 minutes, a product was already sold out.
Jumia sent out emails titled "Jumia came between you and shopping: Black Friday extended!" and it was signed by the CEO Nicolas Martins this morning confirming that the cause of the disruptions was as a result of the unprecedented demand. Here is the letter
Jumia offered some of the best deals on Black Friday, offering a huge discounts on products like Samsung's Galaxy S5 selling for just N41,500, Sony PS4 + a fifa 15 selling for just N60,000 and also the iPad Mini for just N30,000
