My Review of Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Samsung Galaxy note 4 runs android OS kitkat 4.4, the camera is 16 megapixels. The phone is actually big, it is 5.7 inch. It comes with with a stylus which also makes the phone nice, you can write and draw on the screen with it. The phone is metal rimmed which means Samsung is actually addressing their plastic body and we can expect a full Metal body for Samsung Galaxy S6.

Note 4 has a fingerprint scanner which is hidden in the home key which is that big middle button at the bottom of the screen. The S pen stylus is located at the bottom inside the body of the Note 4. You can also shrink the screen if you have only one hand that is free at the moment. Other feature include: it's waterproof, IR blaster, heart rate and S health. For me, the most likely reason why you won't like it is because of its size unless I don't see any reason why you won't like it.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is actually a nice phone and I think Galaxy S6 will be better. If the Galaxy S6 can be better, then Samsung is destined for the top once again and they will also prove me wrong.

Samsung is going down

I remember that when Samsung Galaxy S2 came out, it was the best phone in the world on Tech Radar. Also, when S3 came out, it was the best phone in the world on Tech Radar. But S4 and S5 have failed to go in the same way of their predecessor. When S4 came out, it was fourth on Tech Radar and when S5 came out, it was also fourth on Tech Radar and presently it is ninth on Tech Radar. What is really happening to Samsung? HTC has stolen the show. The last two HTC's have been first and M8 is still currently first on Tech Radar. Sony and LG have also overtaken Samsung. Samsung really need to go back to their drawing board and re strategise, they need to look at what is making their competitors to have an edge over them. I read somewhere that Samsung had a 60% slump in quarterly profits, S5 is not really selling.

For me, I think Samsung really need to improve on their design and they need to address their phones being made of plastic even they made a change to Note 4 and it looks prettier.

Samsung really need to do something fast before they become like Blackberry

Apple CEO Tim Cook comes out as gay

Apple Inc CEO, Tim Cook, 53, revealed today October 30th that he is gay. Tim, who became CEO when he succeeded Steve Jobs on August 24th 2011, has never discussed his sexual preference in public before today but said that many of his colleagues knew he was gay.

List Of all Tecno Android Phones – Specs

The tecno brand of mobile  andriod  phone is no doubt the most popular , cheapest and the most sought after low end android phone  in the Nigeria and off course the African mobile Market as of  today making thousands of sales in every single release. This huge patronage from the low income earners is probably due to its cheap price. If there is any mobile brand that has gained so much of its users attention ,it is the tecno android brand.

Tecno is not the same Tecno of before

Tecno is the most popular affordable Smartphone in Nigeria and thanks to their massive improvement. Tecno is popularly referred to as chinco phone but believe it Tecno is no more the chinco phone you used to know.

Yes I know Tecno phones still have deal breakers but, they have really improved. To me, Tecno phones are supposed to be more expensive. As many of you know, Tecno phones run Android operating system, Tecno phones run the same OS as Samsung, Sony, LG phones. One thing I know that they need to improve is their finishing touches, I believe that is the edge Samsung and Co. have over them. For example, Samsung S5 is waterproof, you can use your HTC M8 as a remote. Tecno need to think of features they can add to their phones that will make people love it the more. They should not stop at their phones being an android phone they should add other things.

Tecno also need to access the OTA upgrade stuff, their low Quality Battery and also they need to start making their products uniquely for example, there is a clear difference between Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z3.

Tecno has really improved and it's no more that chinco phone we used to know but they can still improve and if they do, they can become the best. Seriously anything is possible.

Google's Nexus 6 just went up for pre-order and right out of stock

TODO alt text

The new Google Nexus 6 was initially scheduled to go up for pre-order on October 23, but for unknown reasons it was delayed for almost a week.
This week Google finally let hopefuls pre-order it from the Google Play store, but unfortunately that was short-lived, as it's now sold out.
In fact the Nexus 6 reportedly sold out in less than 24 hours, according to Android Community.
At least Google can be sure there's plenty of demand for its next Nexus flagship.

Small comfort

Both the 32GB and 64GB Nexus 6 handsets in all colors are now sold out in the Google Play store.
The Motorola-made smartphone has a humongous 6-inch QHD display, a 2.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 chip, a 13MP rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization, and a 3220mAh battery, plus the Turbo Charger that Verizon's Droid Turbo will enjoy and Android 5.0 Lollipop.

My BlackBerry Passport Review

Blackberry passport runs blackberry OS 10.3. It is actually a productive machine which is good for business and professionals. This phone might be able to compete with the big names and prove me wrong about my last post.

The Passport is actually odd when it comes to the shape and the keyboard. Unlike the keyboard of the Q10 or Bold which has four rows, the keyboard of the passport has three rows. The keyboard is touch enabled. The amazon app store is pre-installed but it can't be compared to the Google Play Store which you can download a lot of apps on android devices. You are limited to apps on Amazon's market.

Like Siri for iPhone, The passport has the blackberry assistant. Instead of you typing, you can just ask. You can ask for scores, search for things, also dictate notes and so on but, it can be annoying because it's slow unlike Siri and the rest.

With Blackberry blend, you can have almost full control your phone just download the app on mobile phones running IOS or Android or even your PC. You can have access to your messages and even respond to them.

The passport is actually a nice phone and at the end I might be wrong about blackberry being able to compare to the big names. This phone will actually be good for professionals and fans of Qwerty phones.

BlackBerry Can't compete with the big names

I was actually once a mad fan of blackberry, I was so crazy about it. I was ready to argue for blackberry anywhere and anytime. If you see me arguing for blackberry, you will think they are paying me.

Blackberry could actually compare to the big names like HTC, Samsung, IPHONE before but now I don't think so at all. To me blackberry is just like a normal phone now and going to tell you guys why I think so.

One thing that I know made Blackberry to belong was BBM(blackberry Messenger), but immediately they sold it to Android and Apple, I knew that was the end. How can you sell your most prized asset to your competitors? It doesn't make sense. When they released the Z10, I said to myself that blackberry could compare to the other big names. When the Z10 came out, it was actually the 11th best phone in the world on Tech Radar and that really convinced me. But after they released the Z10 and Q10, it's as if they don't want to compete with the big names. Reason being that after the Z10 and Q10, they haven't released any new phone that can compete with the best. Instead, they are releasing phones that are mini version of the Z10 and Q10 for example, Q5 and Z3. BlackBerry is becoming extinct and the only way they can revive is to release a killer phone. Look at Sony for example, they just released Xperia Z3 which is better than its predecessor(xperia Z2), BlackBerry released Z10 and Q10, then they released Q5 and Z3. It doesn't make sense how can you release a lower phone? Instead of tweaking the previous one.

Blackberry release new phones not to compete but just to stay in business.

Keeping search engines updated about your blog

Some of you guys might have heard of pingomatic.com. But as for those who haven't heard about it, pingomatic.com is a service to update search engines that your blog has updated. It is actually a nice way to advertise your blog.

Sony Xperia Z3

Sony Xperia Z3
The Xperia z3 has a great battery life, beautiful design as always, waterproof features like it's predecessor. All you Ps4 owners, you can play Ps4 games remotely on the phone. HTC, Samsung, LG, Sony are all fighting to be the Android king.

When it comes to the design, Sony didn't really change much their design is already wonderful. It has the glass-covered front and rear and the aluminum band that holds it all together. It has the round edges which makes it comfortable in your hands unlike the sharper edges which makes you to feel pains.

It's waterproof so it can survive up to 1.5 meters underwater for 30 minutes but not in salt water. There's a camera shutter button for aquatic pics. You can also jam up(listen to music)while in the shower.
It has the front facing speakers like the HTC so you don't need to use your hands to redirect the sound.
It has flaps so you have to deal with it when charging and they should be closed when you want the phone to have a cool bath.
Like it's predecessor(z2), Z3 uses android KitKat but 4.4.4 instead of 4.4.2. Like I said before, it has the Ps4 integration. You can use the phone as remote screen for your Ps4.
Z3 is available in four colours namely:
Black, White, Copper Gold, Silver Green.
Other features include: lifelogging, health tracker.

Future iPhones might never get sapphire displays after all

Future iPhones might never get sapphire displays after all

Future iPhones might never get sapphire displays after all

Leading up to Apple's reveal of the IPhone 6 and Iphone 6 plus it seemed like a sure thing that the new iPhones would sport scratch-resistant sapphire displays.
All the rumors this year pointed to the same thing: Apple was making deals with sapphire component makers left and right, and with the benefits of the material it seemed like a given.
But the new iPhones feature sapphire only minimally - like on the rear camera's lens cover and their Touch ID sensors - and only the more expensive version of even the Apple Watch uses the material for its main display.
And now it seems like sapphire might never make it onto iPhone screens, according to new analysis from DisplayMate.

The narrative in the months leading up to the new iPhone announcements was that sapphire would be the perfect material  for their displays, but reports now are noting sapphire's flaws.
It's expensive, for one thing, and despite its greater scratch resistance it's actually more prone to shattering. In addition sapphire is more reflective than glass, making it less ideal in bright environments.
We learned on October 23 that Apple hadbroken ties with its main sapphire provider, GT Advanced Technologies, and now PC World says GT has filed for bankruptcy and is selling its sapphire furnaces.
If the new anti-glare layer sitting on top of the IPad Air's screen makes it onto future iPhones, using sapphire above or beneath it would be rendered pointless.
Apple may still have its eye on sapphire displays, but it's looking less and less likely these days than it was a few months ago.

The inspiring story of the Taxi Driver who returned N18million Naira 8 Years ago

You must have read about Mr Imeh Usuah, the Taxi Driver who returned the N18million that was forgotten in his car by one of his passengers. He carried out the act in 2007 and he has been rewarded.

The father of six,  was one of those that received the national honour as a Member of the Federal Republic last week, he was also given plots of land in Abuja.
Read his inspiring story below:
“It was one morning by 5.30 AM, in November, 2007, when British Airways (BA), landed at the international wing of the airport in Abuja. As usual, I positioned myself from metres away from the arrival wing waiting for passengers to come out so that I can get my customers and take them where ever they want to go inside town. “In my waiting position I saw these two white men who came with the British airways. From distance I could observe that they were obviously tired from their look. They beckoned on me requesting for a drop at the Hilton Transcorp Hotel in Maitama area in Abuja. “I didn’t waste time as I immediately put some of their bags into the boot of my cab and the remaining ones neatly arranged on the back seat and underneath the seats, and off I headed for the destination.

“I arrived at the hotel lounge within 45 minutes and dropped them with their luggage. I got paid N,4000 for my service and I zoomed off, but unknown to both of us there was a bag which contained this huge amount of money left behind tucked away underneath my seat.”

“I decided to take the cab for washing as my usual practice after the day’s work, and while I was removing the foot mats in a bent down position, I saw this brown suite case tucked underneath the driver’s seat. Immediately I remembered the passengers I had carried for the day and I started thinking of who really among them could have forgotten the suitcase. Instinctively I knew it was one of the many bags belonging to those chaps I took to Transcorp Hilton. Even though I didn’t open the suitcase, I sensed at that hour that it must at least contain some valuable items.

My immediate response was to inform our association chairman at that time, Mr. Alex Ekwueme Udom. I told him what happened and that I was returning the bag to the owners.”

He continued: “By the time I met these guys, the owners of the bag at the hotel, they were standing at the hotel lobby confused, dejected and frustrated. They couldn’t even recognise me as the cab driver that brought them from the airport and shockingly they didn’t know the number of taxi. But, I could recognise them.

“These people could not believe their eyes. Their confused state disappeared, and they were so happy that they went on their knees thanking me for returning the bag. They requested for my GSM numbers and in a twinkle of an eye, I disappeared from the scene,” he said.
“I did it to let people know, especially the foreigners that Nigerians are good and great people. I can go hungry for days, for as long as my integrity remains, hunger will disappear by itself.”

I wish all Nigerians could be like this man.

WHY ALWAYS ME! Liverpool's Mario Balotelli in Trouble Again

Liverpool’s Italian striker, Mario Balotelli is in trouble again following his refusal to acknowledge the Liverpool fans after the Champions League 1- 0 loss to Basel.

Mario Balotelli has landed himself in hot soup again, after he reportedly snubbed the travelling Liverpool supporters after last night’s surprising defeat in the Champions League.
Manager Brendan Rodgers had asked his players to acknowledge the fans after the full time whistle in Basel, but the controversial Italian ignored the request and marched straight down the tunnel. The Reds boss tried to play down the incident, he was quoted in The Star as saying: “Mario worked hard, he knows his job is to create and to get into the area. We are working hard on it. I’m not sure if he went back out to say thanks to the fans as I came straight in.”

Liverpool were the latest English victim of Basel after they lost 1-0 to them in their CL group stage match which leaves Liverpool still trying to find the form which made them to take second in the EPL last season.
Liverpool is in a desperate need of their Talisman Daniel Sturridge who is still recovering from injury.

BUSTED! 4 Nigerians Arrested For Robbery in Dubai

According to Dubai’s influential online newspaper, Gulf Today, a Nigerian armed robbery gang that has been terrorising the country has been busted and the members arrested by the Ajman Police Command. The gang comprising of five Nigerians, were involved in armed robbery at the Al Mustaqbal money exchange in Sheikh Rashid Bin Humaid Road in Ajman, a town in that country. The gang managed to steal Dhs2,75,000 including various foreign currencies.
Brigadier Sheikh Sultan Al Nuaimi, Deputy Ajman Police chief, said that the incident took place last week when the gang members entered the exchange and attacked and assaulted its employees, threatening them with toy guns before emptying the premises of its cash and fleeing.
The gang members entered the country on a visit visa, which expired long time ago. He added that the police operations room received a call about the robbery at around 10.30 pm last Thursday.
However, the suspects managed to escape before the police arrived on the scene, as the employees failed to activate the alarm in order to alert the police. Lt Col Abdullah Saif Al Matroushi, director-general of CID at Ajman Police, said that police formed a special team to investigate the case.
The police team used sniffer dogs to trace the movement of the suspects and found the shirt of one of the suspects and a toy gun used in the crime.
The police also used the footage obtained from surveillance cameras installed at the exchange house and the street, which assisted in revealing their car plate number and its description.
In cooperation with the Sharjah and Dubai Police, the team managed to identify the suspects and their location. One of the suspects was arrested in a street in Sharjah. He then led the police team to his accomplices in Dubai. In coordination with the Dubai Police, the team raided the house of the suspect and arrested the other four.
Upon inspection of the suspect’s residence, the police seized Dhs11,000, receipts of purchases of gold, garments and various items, as well as money transfer to their country and currencies including US dollars, Euros, Omani riyals and other currencies.
The suspects confessed to their crimes and were referred to the Public Prosecution. The police officials urged the public to take proper precautions to avert such crimes.

I saw the Synagogue tragedy coming – TB Joshua

TB Joshua
The founder of the Synagogue Church of all Nations, Prophet Temitope Joshua, has claimed that he saw a vision of the incident that killed at least 115 persons in the church guesthouse.
The victims, mainly South Africans, died when a six-storey guesthouse belonging to the church caved in on September 12.

The embattled clergyman, who said he knew something tragic was to befall his ministry, noted that he prepared his parishioners on how to handle the tragedy.
In a statement posted on the SCOAN’s official Facebook page, TB Joshua warned his critics against accusing him of failing to foresee the disaster that befell his ministry.
“For those who are outside the Lord, they would not know. When you are outside God, you will not know what I am talking. When you are outside the light, you cannot understand what I am talking.
“For the three weeks before the incident, if you heard my message and sat down, you would know I was giving you a vision and prophetic word on how to handle the situation at hand. Trials and tests are for our belief. I go by the directives of God,” TB Joshua claimed.
Accusing his critics of being “used by Satan,” the televangelist said they were just out to “disturb” the faith of his local and international members with “negative words.”
According to him, all the “Satanic agents” criticising him over the circumstances surrounding the incident, would soon “suffer for it.”
Since none of his critics is unable to help him raise the victims from death, TB Joshua argued that they should stop rubbishing his ministry or risk paying dearly for it.
Those who could not stop what happened (building collapse), he said, should be “careful of their tongues” as “anybody can go for it.
“I have been on this journey for 27 years. Do you think God can close His eyes and rubbish everything here? They are asking God to bring more evidence of whether He is the one who called me. Warn everyone to be very careful. This issue at hand is a delicate issue.
“People are using this to gain money and friends. This is a warning. Whatever people want to write let them write; they will be the ones to read it. I said our God would get back to them. He has started somewhere. He is coming. If your brother is involved, unless he can resurrect the people who died, he will join them. If you can resurrect the people who died, you can go free.
“The servants, the people who sent them; the people who heard the stories all around and those who want to use it for themselves and to disturb my spirit, you may likely join them. Be careful. To be forewarned is to be forearmed. Let us be very careful with our tongues,” he warned.
Urging those questioning his calling not sway his followers, he added that they should extend love and affection to the victims and relations of those involved in the tragedy.
The prophet insisted that the 115 victims were martyrs, adding that their relations would see the continuation of the work of God “they died and suffered for.
“Your responsibility is to the victims and the relations of the victims and martyrs of faith. If you say you are born again, wherever the victims and their relations are, wherever the relations of the martyrs of faith are, look for them. Let them know you are praying for them. What you eat; let them eat it.
“What you wear; let them wear. What you have on your table, let them have it on their tables, too. Share what you have with them – your love, prayer, affection and strength. Share it with them at this time. This is what we call ‘born again’ – my pain is your pain. Your joy is my joy.
“The multitude of people who claim to be with T.B. Joshua in prayer – if the same people turn to the families of the victims and martyrs of faith, don’t you think life would be better for them than before? Join them; look for them, as many other things they are doing now,” TB Joshua added.

Liverpool becomes Basel’s latest English victim

000_Par7990374

Liverpool became the latest English club to fall prey to FC Basel as the Swiss side triumphed 1-0 in their Champions League Group B clash at the St Jakob-Park on Wednesday.
In the last three years, Basel have beaten Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in European competition and won home and away against Chelsea, and a scrappy goal in the 52nd minute from captain Marco Streller inflicted a damaging defeat on Brendan Rodgers’s side.
It is Chelsea that has suffered in their hands...Up blues

Welbeck bags hat-trick as Wenger celebrate anniversary with a win

 000_DV1882554
Danny Welbeck gave Arsene Wenger the perfect anniversary gift as the Arsenal striker’s hat-trick inspired a crucial 4-1 win against Galatasaray in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Wenger celebrated the 18th anniversary of his arrival at Arsenal on Wednesday, but the Gunners’ boss demurred this week when offered the chance to reflect on his numerous moments of triumph in north London.

Arsenal had been spluttering through a dispiriting run of one win from their last six matches in all competitions — including a lacklustre 2-0 defeat at Borussia Dortmund that marked their first loss in the opening game of the Champions League group stages since 2003.

The £16 million man sped past a shoddy Turkish defence to prod home three clever goals as the Gunners got their group-stage campaign off and running. I hope Welbeck will be able to keep up this form.

Oyakhilome Removes Wife’s Name, Photo From All Church Publications

Founder of Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has removed his estranged wife’s pictures and name, Anita, from the church’s monthly devotional publication, Rhapsody of Realities after her pictures and personal information had been removed from the church’s website, a few months ago. Anita Oyakhilome
Anita was reportedly sidelined from her key role and the role taken over  by a prominent female member of the church, Yemisi Kudehinbu, who recently succeeded Pastor Phillip as the Chief Executive Officer of the Believers Love World Incorporated, an umbrella body in charge of Rhapsody.
The removal of Anita’s profile from Rhapsody took effect from the October edition of the monthly devotional book, which she co-authored with Pastor Chris.
Oyakhilome is the president of Believers’ Love World Inc, the registered name of the Christian ministry, while his wife was the vice-president. They both have two teenage daughters, Sharon and Charlyn.
According to reports, Anita’s pictures, which used to adorn the front and back pages of Rhapsody with her husband, were edited from the latest publication. The current edition has only the name of Pastor Chris, while the back page was filled with only testimonies.
The latest development has worsened the divorce mess between the church’s leader and his wife, Anita, who reportedly filed for dissolution of their marriage on the grounds of “unreasonable behaviour” and “adultery” on 9 April, 2014, according to an online newspaper, The Cable.
Two days after it was reported that Anita had filed for divorce in London, Christ Embassy deleted her pictures and personal information from its official website, www.christembassy.org.
Many describe the action as the beginning of a process to shut her out of the church, after she accused her husband of “adultery” and “unreasonable behaviours” in the divorce suit.
Christ Embassy’s new website now shows only Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.

64 million adults are illiterates in Nigeria

Adult education
The National Mass Education Commission, NMEC, says 64 million Nigerian adults are illiterate.
The Chairman of the Governing Board of the commission, Esther Udehi, made this known on Monday in Awka during a courtesy call to the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Nkem Okeke.
She said the trend is worrisome.

The visit was part of the activities lined up to mark the International Literacy Day, ILD, in the state.
Mrs. Udehi said Nigeria’ s dream of attaining the Education For All, EFA, Goal 2015 would become elusive except something was urgently done to reverse the trend.
“It is a shame that in the 21st century we should be having such a number of illiterates.
It is thing of concern to everyone.”
She said the ILD celebration was, therefore, an opportunity for the commission to drum up support for adult literacy.
The chairman tasked states to ensure that the 774 local government areas were well equipped and empowered to be the “hearts of advocacy” for literacy.
She noted that the laudable policies of government at all levels could not be achieved with such a large population of illiterates in the country.
“We all know that an illiterate is a danger, not only to himself, but to the society at large,” Mr. Udehi said.
In his response, Mr. Okeke said that the Anambra Government was conscious of the enormous challenges confronting the education sector, especially in terms of achieving the EFA Goal.
Mr. Okeke said the government was committed to ensuring that Anambra became one of the states with the largest population of educated people.
The deputy governor, therefore, pledged the state’s support for the non-formal education sector to achieve this set goal.
The shocking revelation that 64 million adults are illiterates appears a national disgrace for a country that is one of the world’s largest oil producers.
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation in 2013 released an equally shocking report indicating that one out of every five Nigerian children is out of school.
The UNESCO Education for All Global Monitoring Report (EAGMR) says Nigeria holds the world record of having the highest number of its young people out of school.
With approximately 10.5 million kids out of school, Nigeria dominates twelve other countries with which it accounts for 47 percent of the global out-of-school population.
The other countries are Pakistan (5.1 million); Ethiopia (2.4million); India (2.3million); Philippines (1.5million); Cote D’Ivoire (1.2million); Burkina Faso (1million); Niger (1million); Kenya (1million); Yemen (0.9million); Mali (0.8million) and South Africa (0.7million).
And of all these countries, UNESCO says Nigeria is among the four that has experienced the highest increase since 1999.
Although, UNESCO officials blame the drop in school enrolment in some countries on the decrease in aid between 2010 and 2011, anecdotal evidence suggests that the monumental corruption at all levels of government might have worsened Nigeria’s case.
In Nigeria, officials routinely steal funds appropriated for building classrooms, buying textbooks and implementing programmes that should bring more children to school.
Recently some officials were indicted for stealing funds released to the nomadic education commission, an agency charged with the responsibility of getting Fulani herdsmen to enroll their kids in school.
“This is a shame for our country,” says Femi Falade, a private school owner in Ijebu-Ode. “President Jonathan and state governors should bury their heads in shame.”

Ebola Could Spread Beyond West Africa- Bill Gates warns

Bill Gates The world's richest man Bill Gates has warned that countries should get ready to handle a possible outbreak of Ebola in case it spreads further as people from Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea travel across borders.
'Because of that uncertainty, I am not going to hazard a guess,' Gates said after being asked whether he thinks the massive ramping up of international aid over the past few weeks is enough.
The World Bank has started working with countries on developing plans should the highly infectious disease spread.

The lesson so far is that countries with strong primary healthcare systems already in place are well positioned to halt the march of Ebola, as Nigeria and Senegal have demonstrated in their quick response to cases there, Gates said.

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation funneled extra money in July and August towards Nigeria and pledged an additional $50million on September 10 to fight the epidemic, which so far has infected over 6,000 people mostly in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea.
The World Health Organization warns the infection rate probably is three times that number and could reach 20,000 by November. The death rate is over 50 per cent.

To contain the epidemic, the United States on September 16 announced the deployment of 3,000 military engineers and medical personnel to build 17 treatment clinics and train healthcare workers, mostly in Liberia, at a cost of about $1billion.

The United Kingdom and France also are increasing their assistance and the United Nations has stepped forward to coordinate the international effort.

The Gates Foundation has deep expertise in fighting infectious diseases, especially malaria, HIV/Aids, polio and tuberculosis, and has invested billions of dollars in developing countries over the past decade.

Building a healthcare structure in the three countries worst hit by Ebola is critical, otherwise deaths from preventable diseases will quickly outpace those from Ebola, Gates said.

If mothers are afraid to get professional assistance in delivering their babies for fear of contracting Ebola and children cannot get malaria treatments, the long-term impact of the epidemic will be far more damaging, he said.
'That will be very tragic, and it won't get the type of attention that Ebola is getting,' Gates said.
He estimated that it will take 20 years of donor investment in some African countries to build resilient healthcare systems able to control preventable diseases and manage health crises.
